Variety: Shiraz / cab sauv / merlot / cab franc
The Argus is a blend of four red grapes offering aromas of licorice, blackberry and cinnamon as well as vibrant fruit flavours. Sarsaparilla, dark chocolate and cassis all play their part in a fresh, medium-bodied style, with creamy textural tannins completing the palate. Short-term cellaring will be rewarded, though it's drinking well now with everything from spaghetti Bolognese to braised eggplant or charcuterie platters.
