This is the second time that Penley has made a shiraz from McLaren Vale. This time we sought out a sandy sight in the more elevated, cooler sub-district of Blewitt Springs, enabling the pursuit of medium-bodied, spicy Shiraz. You won’t be weighted down with an anchor of tannin, but rather elevated by spice and perfume and a crush of purple fruit.We used a combination of whole berry fermentation, gentle cap management and seasoned oak maturation to promote the juicy, fleshy fruit profile.
